Custom Work
All custom work requires a 50% deposit before the work begins. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client's complete satisfaction.
Diamond Upgrade Policy
We will gladly accept undamaged and unaltered diamond solitaire earrings and pendants originally purchased from us, in trade on any future larger diamond solitaire item. Diamonds not purchased from Akála Jewelry may also be upgraded at our discretion.
Exchanges & Store Credit
We ask that any exchanges be made within 5 days from the date of purchase. Merchandise must be unused, unworn, in the original gift box, and must include any identification cards given at the time of purchase. Purchase price may be applied towards merchandise exchange or store credit. Special orders, completed layaways, modified items, and custom-made pieces are not exchangeable. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.
Jewelry Repair
We will perform all work in a professional and cautious manner. Should any additional work be required, you will be contacted before work is begun and be given an estimate. Any damage or loss due to this store's negligence will be limited to the cost to repair or replace the item and will not exceed the value declared.
Layaways
We will gladly place items on layaway, interest free, for up to 1 year. All layaways require a minimum 25% nonrefundable deposit. Payments are required every 30 days or item and all previous payments are forfeit. To avoid forfeiture, it is the customer's responsibility to inform Akála Jewelry of any change in contact information. Layaways are not exchangeable or returnable.
Returned Checks
Returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee.
Special Orders
We consider any jewelry, gemstone, gift item, or custom made piece ordered at the customer's request to be a special order item. All special orders require a minimum 50% deposit.
